Bhutanese football champions Paro FC are preparing to represent the country in the AFC Challenge League 2026/27, marking another important chapter in the club’s growing presence on the Asian football stage.
Paro FC secured their place in the group stage after defeating Afghanistan’s Abu Muslim Farah FC 2–0 at Changlimithang Stadium on August 11. Yuta Mishima and Abdoulie Baldeh scored the goals that helped the Bhutanese side advance.
The club has been drawn in Group A, where they will face strong opposition from Turkmenistan, Lebanon and Syria. Paro FC will begin their campaign against Ahal FC on October 17. They will then host Lebanon’s Al Ansar SC on October 20 before travelling to face Al Ittihad Ahli of Aleppo on October 23.
The matches will provide Paro FC with an opportunity to test themselves against experienced clubs from across Asia. The team will also be aiming to build on its recent performances in continental competition and make Bhutan proud on the international stage.
