Royal Thimphu College (RTC) has announced the appointment of a new Dean for its Health Sciences division, marking an important step in strengthening academic leadership and supporting the continued development of health-related education at the college.
Pandup Tshering has been appointed as the new Dean of Health Sciences at RTC. In the new role, the Dean will provide academic and administrative leadership for the Health Sciences programs, working with faculty members, students, and college leadership to enhance teaching, learning, research, and professional development.
The appointment comes as RTC continues to expand its focus on quality education and the preparation of graduates for careers that contribute to Bhutan’s health sector and wider society.
Speaking about the appointment, Pandup said, “I am honored to take on this responsibility and look forward to working with our faculty, students, and partners to further strengthen Health Sciences education at RTC.”
The new Dean will also play a key role in supporting curriculum development, encouraging research and innovation, and building collaboration with healthcare institutions and other relevant organizations.
RTC expressed confidence that the appointment will contribute to the continued growth of the Health Sciences division and create new opportunities for students and faculty.
The college community has welcomed Pandup Tshering to the new position and wished the Dean success in leading the Health Sciences division.
