The Royal Thimphu College (RTC) football tournament is moving to its next stage as the registration deadline of October 9, 2026, has passed. The organisers are expected to announce the fixtures soon, allowing participating departments to prepare for their matches.
The tournament aims to bring students from different departments together through football. It also encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among students.
With registration now closed, the next step is to draw the fixtures. This will decide which departments will play against each other in the opening matches. Students and supporters are waiting for the announcement to find out who their departments will face.
The tournament will give students a chance to take part in sports alongside their studies. It will also help them develop teamwork, leadership, and communication skills while staying physically active.
Support from the college community will also be important. Students are expected to cheer for their departments and support their teams while showing respect for other players.
The upcoming fixture draw is expected to build excitement as departments prepare to compete for the title. However, the match schedule, tournament format, and final list of participating departments are yet to be announced by the organisers.
The RTC football tournament will provide students with an opportunity to show their football skills, make new friends, and represent their departments with pride. The announcement of the fixtures will be an important step towards the start of the competition.
