Thirteen youths explored culture and well-being in a two-day homestay under Bhutan’s only UNESCO × SEVENTEEN grant project.
The inaugural Bhutanese reality-style series, Going Bhutan, was launched in Thimphu on Monday, bringing together 13 youths from across the country.
The two-day, one-night program placed the participants in a traditional Bhutanese homestay where they engaged in cultural exchanges, teamwork, and discussions on youth well-being.
Organizers said the initiative aimed to highlight what it means to be Bhutanese today while addressing mental health challenges faced by young people. UNICEF reports that Bhutan loses a life to suicide every 90 hours, with an average of eight cases a month between 2018 and 2020.Participants of the “Going Bhutan” reality series share stories and culture at a traditional homestay in Thimphu.

Going Bhutan is Bhutan’s only project selected under the UNESCO × SEVENTEEN Global Youth Grant Scheme, which funds youth-led initiatives for positive social impact.
The project was inspired by SEVENTEEN’s message of unity and authenticity, allowing participants to share their voices without scripts.
